Is this Legacy meets Leverage?
Chayka brings a modern lens. He’s a young fella who managed Arizona (2016-2020) and got his knuckles whacked for not adhering to NHL prospect testing rules. He was handed a one-year suspension. Apparently, he’s strong on analytics and structure. He’s not an ‘Old Boy’.
Sundin brings respect, a strong hockey culture, and a standard this city will love if the players listen to him.
After a season that didn’t deliver, this isn’t a tweak, it’s a shift. The big question for me is….Is this the combination that finally moves the needle?
